The Remove-DnsServerDirectoryPartition cmdlet removes a Domain Name System (DNS). You cannot remove a DNS server from the DomainDnsZones or ForestDnsZones application directory partitions.
Examples
Example 1: Remove a directory partition from the local DNS server
PS C:\> Remove-DnsServerDirectoryPartition -Name "ADpart" -PassThru -ForceThis command removes the DNS server from a DNS application directory partition named ADpart. This command removes the directory partition without prompting you for confirmation and returns information about the DNS application directory partition that the command removed.
Parameters
-AsJob
Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt.
You can continue to work in the session while the job completes.
To manage the job, use the *-Job cmdlets.
To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet.
