Metrics for Mobile Apps
Insights
Insight metrics help you access comprehensive reports that provide key performance indicators, user engagement metrics, and other valuable insights. The Insight metrics include:
Rage taps
A screen view or user session is flagged with 'rage tap' if the user taps multiple times in a clustered area in rapid succession. Each of these clustered taps is marked as a rage tap. Rage taps can be strong indicators of user frustration, where users expect to be interactive elements. These taps can also indicate key events in a session where a user might be uniquely frustrated.
Dead taps
Similar to rage taps, 'dead taps' suggest a poor user experience. Screen interactions are marked as dead taps when a user taps on an element but gets no feedback in a reasonable amount of time. This tap means that the visual status doesn't change, and there's no navigation away from the screen. A dead tap can signify broken elements, high latency requests, or misleading UX.
Application errors
Application errors happen when an unexpected exit results from an unhandled exception or from JavaScript errors run on the application's WebView components. You can view the total number of errors along with the breakdown of each error and watch recordings related to each error. Select show more or show less to adjust the list.
Note
Application errors is currently not supported on iOS apps.
Smart events
Smart events track key user actions on your app, making it easy and fast for you to view the data that matters. Clarity automatically defines smart events for you, and you can customize them or define new events - all code-free. Select the recordings icon or heatmaps icon to view the corresponding filtered data. Learn more about smart events.
Funnels
Funnels represent a series of user actions, offering a detailed view of user progression through each phase of the flow. You can create code-free funnels to gain insights specific to your scenarios. Learn more about funnels.
