What to do if you haven't gotten your beta exam scores.

If you have taken a Microsoft Certification beta exam and haven't gotten your scores by the time the exam goes live (usually it takes six to eight weeks to get scored for a beta**) then you need to follow up with your test provider <edited per Andy's feedback>. They are responsible for giving you your results. While I'm at it, know that test centers should not charge you for taking a beta exam. I posted general info on betas a while back here.

**unless you happen to take 71-621 or 71-622, in which case it will take way way way longer than 8 weeks, because we are, for possibly the first time ever, re-running the betas. But don't take my word for it: Three Windows Vista certification exams get a rewrite

The test center can't help if you don't receive beta exam results! They are sent by Prometric or VUE via snail-mail.

That's what I meant, was to talk to your test provider (Prometric or VUE). Andy, do you have a blog or site? I'd love to check it out.

No, I don't have a blog. I'm still trying to decide if I want to start one and involve myself with such a trendy fad.

Great point, indeed, Andy. Keep me posted.

Perhaps there's still room for me on blogs.msdn.com? Can you invite someone for new accounts? I've taken over 200 exams in the last 10 years and hold many certifications. I'd like to share my experience. Thanks.

No, unfortunately, I don't have connections with the MSDN community team to lobby for an external account...

    What about an MVP nomination?

What about if you've received the score report from the testing company but can't get the exam posted to your transcript? The MCP website has a blurb listed about some sort of problem with results coming from Prometric, and lists information to send to MCPHelp to get the exams posted.  Problem is every time you send that info MCPhelp sends back a canned reply saying that beta score reports come out a few days before a test goes live... even though you just sent them a copy of the score report...

Call them instead. Your chances are better but not guaranteed.
