retirements and recertification in 'new model' credentials

This is just a 'trailer' for info I'm planning to put up soon, so if you are hoping to learn something, please stop reading now.

I've gotten quite a few questions on how the recertification process (in the 'new generation' MCTS, MCITP, and MCPD model) will work when the time comes. We have been talking about the process in bits and pieces in all of the related cert Live Meetings, but I'd like to consolidate some details of how that will work and poast a summary in the next few days.
