Heads up on 2008 certification exam retirements

...as announced in our March Live Meeting on server certifications, Microsoft Learning will be retiring a set of exams in one year (on March 30, 2008). The retirement list will be posted on microsoft.com later this month; in the meantime here is the info we shared in the Live Meeting, plus an additional set of exams from other older technologies that will be retiring. There should be 22 exams in the list, all of which have been out for years (and years and years). Feel free to post questions in advance of the formal list going live.

Other exams retiring next year...

Does an exam retiring simply mean it can't be done any more? ie. I have completed 70-210 as an elective to my MCSE 2003 does this mean I need to upgrade to say the equivalent exam in Vista or XP or will it still be my MCSE in 2003 still be valid post 2008 ? Cheers, Ian

The exam is no longer available for testing--certifications achieved using the retired exams are still valid.
