71-621 and 71-623 (Vista Beta Exams) Invitations to Send on March 22
Retake invite for 621 and re-registration invite for 623 are both scheduled to be sent out on March 22. The invitations will not be sent out broadly until 72 hours after that point so re-takers and re-registering peeps get a seat if desired. For the background on this, you can read this post. Please note that we are not accepting new candidates for the beta exams.
If you are one of the customers who took 621 or had registered for 623, set your spam filter to accept mail from msl@microsoft.com so you get your invitation (but dont send mail there because it is an unmonitored alias...).

Repost my old question here: I discovered SOMEONE has registered 071-621 for me. Just like last time (071-622), a test center is selected but no schedule is marked. Is it someone from Prometric or Microsoft who registered the exam for me? I've phoned Prometric to make a schedule for the exam and now I can change the schedule online. However, I would like to know whether others are getting the same "special service" from SOMEONE.Anonymous

I haven't asked the operator this question. I've told him that the exam was not registered by me and I don't have the promotion code. He was not surprised. He can help me assign a time to the already registered exam without a problem. From the header of the first email that notified me about the 071-621 registration, the registration should be created on Sun, 18 Mar 2007 18:33:05 -0700. That should be morning work hours on Mon, 19 Mar 2007 in Australia / Asia Pacific time zones. I suspect that this "special service" is only available to testers from some areas in the world.Anonymous

Frankx: I'm sorry you can't register online--I know that is a pain. If you register at the OTHER provider, though, you may be able to register online as they won't have a record of you taking the first exam.Anonymous

ME again, tried to do this at the vue homepage, got following message at the end of the registration process: "A program error occurred" So I'll do it by phone tomorrow, will there be any problem if I do this at the other provider I took the initial exam?Anonymous

I'm not able to register online (VUE).. great :- the message after confirming the order says that I need a "special" promotion code (eventhough I used the promo code provided).. wouldnt it be better if you REALLY verify that everything is working correctly before sending the invitations again?Anonymous

Hi Trika Here is the update : When I register 71-621 with VUE (I took my 1st 71-621 with Prometric) and I ended up getting Program Error message When I register with VUe for 71-623, the message says that I need a "special" promotion code (even though I used the promo code from MLS email) Please help.Anonymous

Hello Trika, I am from India and i participated earlier in 70-621 Beta 1 through Prometric. I received the invtation for beta 2 today. I was shocked to see India in Regional Restrictions List. Pls confirm regarding this.Anonymous

Hi every-one, I've juste registered my sit to the 71-621 with prometric by Phone. But for the 71-623 like Paul, they told me that this exam is not ready yet. A supervisor told me that he have to call a man in te USA to ask about this exam because the promo code didn't worked, and next he'll call me back today or on monday.... I hope all re-takers, at this point, have been able to successfully get a seat in the 621 or 623. Tomorrow afternoon will be 72 hours (from the point the registrations actually started working, not from the point we sent them out...) and we will open up the registration more broadly. If you TOOK THE FIRST ONE (621 or 623), and tried to register via the instructions (i.e. CALL the test center and talk to a supervisor for 621) and were not able to register; please send me a mail directly and I will help escalate.Anonymous

I tried to receive my free vouchter today (through EMEA). No luck so far. They wanted me to send the invitation (and explaination about the free exam voucher), because the didn't know anything about it. I received a confirmation that Microsoft (EMEA) will investigate it, and get back to me as soon as they could confirm the free vouchter action. Please can somebody explain this matter to Microsoft EMEA ???? So I can recevie my free exam voucher ????Anonymous

gomcse2002: I phoned them on 2nd April in the morning in my region. Like Hartplaza, they asked me to send the related emails to them. I sent them the emails with the following subjects: Your Participation in Microsoft Certification Beta Exams 71-621 and 71-622 Your Exclusive Invitation to Re-take Beta Exam 71-621 When I checked my mailbox at night, I found an email with a voucher code (only one). I used it to successfully register an exam. I sent a reply to them to request for another one, as I have taken both 071-621 and 071-622. I am waiting for the reply.Anonymous
