Improving a Graphics Application with Tablet APIs

In May 2006, I wrote a small digital imaging application to produce what I like to call the "Pleasantville" effect.  If you've seen the movie, you can probably guess what I mean.  An image will be mostly grayscale, but certain aspects of the image, either certain colors or certain regions, will remain in vibrant color.  I had a bunch of images I thought would look nice with this effect, and rather than whip out Digital Image Pro or Photoshop, I thought it'd be fun to throw together a .NET app to handle this.  I did so, and I wrote an article for the mobility dev center to go along with it, scrambling to get it done quickly as I was about to head off to get married!  For whatever reason, the article never made it online; that is, not until today!  So, almost 10 months later, the article is up online at https://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332387.aspx.  Even with the delay, I hope you enjoy it. :)

Who are those attractive people?  I feel like I used to see them around sometimes back when I lived in the Pacific Northwest.
