(Cloud) Tip of the Day: Running Azure automation with an MSDN Subscription
Today’s Tip…
When running Azure automation with an MSDN Subscription, make sure you use an Azure AD Account that is also a Co-Admin of the Azure subscription.
Azure Automation cannot use a Microsoft Account(live/Hotmail), so an account in the default directory from an MSDN subscription will get authentication errors when running a runbook.
Create a new Directory in your MSDN subscription and add a user. Make that user a CoAdministrator of your Azure subscription and use that account to run the automation runbook.
