Not sure what to do at the weekend? Try a random day out!

I noticed the randomdayout site on a PC in a meeting earier in the week. It's a fun way to get suggestions for something interesting to do for the day.

It's useful for those of you in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. You simply pick from the options shown below:

The results are entertaining to say the least - places I'd never even heard of let alone considered going came up - I can't wait to go on a RandomDayOut for myself.

I'd like to see an option for "entertaining the children" as I'm sure there are many parents out there who'd like some suggestions for fun days out.

    If you try this, you may need to tweak it a little.  Leaving all the options set, I asked it to make me a day out for this Saturday. It suggested I start with a visit to a Health Club called "Rite Aid". That's roughly akin to suggesting I go work out at the local "Boots".
