It may be a Dark Rainy Monday morning but I feel so Lucky - I've won a holiday and a fortune!
I've been browsing through my junk email - I'm not quite sure why I'm bothering to do so though sometimes I find a couple of entertaining messages.
I particularly like the one that starts "Dear Member, you've been selected for a free holiday...", which is followed by a lovely picture of a beach et al. Where am I supposed to be a member of?
Another bizarre one is titled "How I legally rob banks" - hmmm. Opening the message reveals a professional looking image that looks like a book cover.
To accept either kind offer all I have to do is to click on the pretty image...which links directly to JavaScript on a wierd looking host. Perhaps I won't do that :-)
I wonder how many people fall for such scams. I guess enough people must do so otherwise the F£31n5 Spammers wouldn't bother.
Incidentally I investigate interesting security matters using a virtual machine that's configured not to save the changes hence when I turn it off all is gone. I'm also careful to ensure that I use least privilege and that the virtual machine is isolated from other hosts on the network.

I suppose at least "Dear Member" is a bit more polite than "Dear [synonym of member]". - Anonymous

I'm never that lucky. Fortunately though people keep offering me cheap Valium so I don't care :-)
