Get answers to difficult questions and debate security solutions with experts at InfoSec 2006 in London

Browse to our InfoSec2006 page to read about the free education sessions and debates we'll be hosting. The main InfoSec event site is the place to go to secure (no punn intended) a free place at the event - if you turn up on the day (three days actually) then it will cost you £20 to get in ;-(

Many regard InfoSec as a trade show where vendors pitch their wares whilst spreading horror stories about the dangers posed by failing to adopt their technology. InfoSec can be a great place to meet your peers and suppliers to share best practise and debate solutions to difficult problems.

Beware of self proclaimed "security experts" - particularly at events and online. As I'm sure you're aware that are many "security experts" who simply regurgitate "security folklore". Personally I respect those who take the time to listen and apply their experience to innovate effective solutions regardless of what the "pack" are doing. Just because some security guide prescribes a solution doesn't mean that it is appropriate for every customer or situation.

BTW: I take issue with our own Infosec site as it suggests that you can become a "Security expert" by participating in our lecture series...
