At last we're producing security messages that real people (the general public) can make sense of!

At last - an interface for real people - i.e. those that aren't technical security experts. The following dialog message is part of Windows Vista

The built-in Windows Vista personal firewall settings are automatically configured according to your answer.

BTW. The "Watershed" is a Cinema in Bristol - I'm there for today's Technical (TechNet) Roadshow.

Hi Steve, Just a quick note to say I thought the technet roadshow yesterday was really productive - so if you can pass the message on to your colleagues as well.

    All around good job!

Will do. Thanks Paul. I'm glad to hear that you found the event useful.

What would you like to find out about in the future?

Not sure that the general public can make sense of the message.

What do 'this' as in 'this is a public network' apply to - l'm not connecting to a website, I'm connecting to a website.

    What's a network? I don't have a network I just use the internet!

I do appreciate 'firewall settings are automatically configured according to your answer'. I'm not convinced that the answer is more informed. In short I think you're over stating the impact of the UI tidy-up.

Keith> Fair comment. I've heard many non-tech users talk about "my Internet" :-)
