Happy International Women’s Day!
It’s also Women’s History Month. In honor of women in computing, you shouldmeet Lili Cheng, general manager of Microsoft’s Future Social Experiences (FUSE) Labs, which focuses on software and services that are centered on social connectivity, real-time experiences, and rich media. Lili talks to @ritzy and @Carmine007 about her tenure at Microsoft which started in 1995. Lili is another shining example of a successful woman in technology. https://channel9.msdn.com/shows/WM_IN/Lili-Cheng-Virtual-Social-Experience-and-FUSE-Labs/.
Channel9 has a whole show about Women in Tech… Be sure to check back later in the month for future interviews or to view previous interviews. https://channel9.msdn.com/shows/WM_IN/
My personal plan to celebrate International Women’s Day is to put together a proposal for the 2010 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. Submissions are due March 16. If you’re a student, you should also consider applying for a scholarship to the event.
