System Center Update Publisher 2011 Troubleshoot Series 2: Pubisher name shown as "Unknown" on some OS

One of our partner meet the following issue when they are testing their catalog: Though the cab file is signed properly, when importing the catalog, it shows “Unknown” on some OS.

This issue only happen on one Windows Server 2008 SP2 machine. And the publisher can be identified correctly on other machines.

After some invesgitagion, we finally found that it’s because of the “problematic machine” was missing the Verisign Certificate. After install the root cert. The problem was solved.
