Yes, Virginia, Microsoft is paying attention to blogging.

The link to the TechEd registration on the right of this blog used to link directly to the registration site, but I just changed it to point at https://go.microsoft.com/?LinkID=404299. The TechEd folks want to track the clickthrough rate via that link, so they can determine if there is enough traffic to make it worth possibly giving special benefits to bloggers and blog readers at future events.

LinkID=404299 is specific to blogs (and presumedly community websites), if you have a user group site you want to link from, use https://go.microsoft.com/?LinkID=404301.
