Way Off Topic.. but do you have any idea when the Outlook 2003 SP1 is scheduled for release? I'm having a number of the problems detailed in kb 839804, and while a 'hotfix' may be available, it doesn't refer me to the correct locations.

    Thanks!

    Liam

I don't know about SP1, sorry. But what's wrong with the hotfix link? Are you referring tohttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=833856?

Getting a hotfix from Microsoft Support shouldn't get you charged. IIRC, even the initial person you talk to, the technical router, should be able to send you the hotfix if you give them the kb number. At least thats how it used to work when I was in pss.

No the link works fine; and I've gotten hotfixes from pss before (although the last time took ~ 45 minutes of waiting).

At the end of the knowledge base article 3 of the last 4 bulleted points acknowledge a problem, say "There is a hotfix that is available for this problem.", but then do not specify the hotfix # to request. I can track it down by browsing for them directly, just a PITA (add that to your list!). Thank you for all of your prompt replies! Is there a blogger for Outlook (that SP 1 question is the one I'd really like to have answered).

    Sincerely,

    Liam

Liam - we're looking into it.

As for Outlook SP1, I do not know of anyone on the Outlook team blogging but even if there were, I doubt they'd be able to tell you an SP1 date.
