So Microsoft is now charging for MSDN events. Greaat... Why would one pay to hear marketing second hand when we can go to Channel9 and watch the PDC sessions for free and hear it straight from the product teams. Or wait a month and hear it at VisitMix.com. If this is a huge budget slash for you guys. Why not virtualize your content?

Josh,   To be clear...this is not an MSDN Event, as in the events that are run quarterly typically in movie theaters and consist of an afternoon of content.   These are full-day, multi-track events, presented by local experts. Sure, you can watch the PDC or MIX content online, and if that's your preference, great.   The MSDN Dev Con is to provide an event for folks who prefer an in-person experience and could not, for whatever reason, make it to PDC.
