Two months off

Two months away from blogging, and a two month old daughter at home. It doesn't take too much deduction to come up with the correlation. I took 7 weeks away from work - 3 vacation combined with the 4 weeks of paid parental leave MS offers to new dads. I probably had four or five spare moments over those 7 weeks, but I didn't spend as much time keeping up on work related stuff as I thought I would. I did get a proposal submitted for the better software conference and for psqt (they extended their deadline), but I didn't spend as much time on them as I should have, so I'll be surprised if I'm selected to speak at either conference.

It's hard getting back into the groove of working after so much time off. I've been catching up on things and contacting folks who haven't heard from me in a while. I start teaching again next week, so I should be back in full gear by then.
