Be careful what you wish for

Long time readers (ha ha ha) will know that one of the main reasons I'm blogging is to work on my writing skills. Long time readers may also wonder why my writing hasn't improved :) . I haven't bothered analyzing my writing style over the last 6 months, but at least I can say that I spend a lot less time staring at the screen than I did several months ago. I pretty much sit down intending to blog, and finish up within 5 minutes or so. I've learned to type fast over the last 10 years (see last post), so my overall blog posting time is a pretty infinitesimal part of my day.

The point I haven't got to yet is that I've been asked to write an article for one of the software industry magazines. They haven't actually accepted an article from me yet, but they did give me a topic and some guidelines, so we'll see what happens. This is something that I've been thinking about doing for a long time, so hopefully it will pan out. More news here if anything happens.
