Hello,
Thank you for asking.
If your Windows Server operating system has reached the officially supported end-of-life date and you have not purchased Extended Security Updates (ESU), you will no longer receive any security updates. This means that your system will not be able to get new security patches, which can expose you to security risks and vulnerabilities.
Regarding your question, Windows Server 2016 mainstream support has ended on Jan 11, 2022, but you can receive the new update because you purchased ESU, and the extension end date can be extended until Jan 12, 2027.
Windows Server 2019 mainstream support has ended on Jan 9, 2024, and if you want to continue receiving security updates, you will need to purchase an ESU so that the extended end date can be extended until Jan 9, 2029.

Hania Lian
