Currently, students read the passage and are recorded, but at the "10"-minute mark, they are forced to submit. Regardless of if the "Opt in time limit cutoff" feature is toggled on or off.

It would be beneficial if the recording could stop, allowing the student to finish reading.

Additionally, it would be helpful if, upon reaching the comprehension questions, students could refer back to the passage, as we would expect them to do on a test.

Is there any way of making these adjustments at the teachers end?

Thanks for your detailed feedback. I understand that having the recording continue until the student finishes reading—and allowing them to refer back to the passage when answering comprehension questions—is a crucial aspect of your test design.

Currently, however, the forced submission at the 10‑minute mark occurs automatically in our system, regardless of whether the “Opt in time limit cutoff” option is enabled. That behavior isn’t configurable on the teacher’s end at this time. Similarly, the exam setup doesn’t allow for a backward reference to the passage once students move on to the comprehension questions.

I recognize these features are important for your testing process, and I’ve recommend you give the feedback in Teams UserVoice. Microsoft will always focus on customer’s feedback and experience, some new features would be added to the services based on customers' feedback in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for them to improve the service. Your time, understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated.
