Hi,

I've created a test account outside of my organisation to test a few services. Unfortunately, I cannot create a MySQL flexible server as I get the following error. Is it a limitation of test accounts?

I've tried with different regions and it's all the same.

Thansk!

    Hello Quentin,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

I understand that you cannot create MySQL Flexible server on Free Account.

This is not necessarily a limitation of test accounts, but rather a restriction related to specific regions.

    Possibly:

    1. Some regions may have restrictions or capacity issues that prevent new resources from being provisioned. You can try creating the server in a different region where there are no such restrictions.
    2. Make sure that your subscription is registered with the MySQL resource provider. If your subscription isn't registered, you might face issues with provisioning - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/mysql/flexible-server/resolve-capacity-errors-mysql-flex

Check https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/972917/cant-deploy-azure-database-for-mysql-flexible-serv For a similar answer to your question.

I hope this is helpful! Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions or clarifications.
