New to azure andsee this error: Basic authentication for this app is currently disabled and may impact deployments

i am a new user , taking the coursera course 'Make Apps with ChatGPT and Generative AI' , I think I chose the Comsumption plan (pay-as-you-go) and i am trying to create a new function app to follow a tutorial. I created a new group, a new function app name, runtime stack is python, version 3.11, Linux, and kept the default in networking, monitoring, deployment, and tags step window

but receive this error message: Basic authentication for this app is currently disabled and may impact deployments. how can i fix this please?

Hi @geo roa
For the existing Function app you can enable the Authentication in the Configuration section of the Function App.

Update

i am not able to see the Configuration or General Settings Menu

• While creating the new function App, you can see the basic authentication option in the Deployment section.
• Enable that to ignore the warning.
