Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

One Drive installation is failing due to too long file path. One of my team has been trying to install OneDrive, however after installation when we try and sync to the OneDrive account it comes up with an error message about a file path being too long. (see attached).

However, this file-path does not exist in our Organisation SharePoint library or in one drive because I deleted the folder.

We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, and deleted old library files. But it is still trying to sync to a folder that doesn't exist.

    Hi @John Peter

According to your description, it seems that your OneDrive is installed successfully, but you cannot sign in the account, the OneDrive setup failed.

The path on the image includes "Shared Folder". Please make sure this folder is deleted on OneDrive online or SharePoint.

If yes, I suggest you uninstall OneDrive again, locate the OneDrive in your Applications folder and drag it to the trash bin.

    • Open Finder, click "Go" in the menu, and choose "Go to Folder." Enter "~/Library/Containers" and click "Go." Find the "com.microsoft.onedrive-mac" folder and delete it.
    • Reinstall OneDrive from the App Store or "OneDrive release notes" for a check.

Besides, please try the steps in "Fix OneDrive sync problems on Mac", such as reset OneDrive.
