Hello,

We recently implemented a personally owned BYOD rollout and wanted to integrate personal and work calendars and contacts. Im my managed Outlook on Android,

Managed google play store app

Outlook>

Settings>

Calendar>

Show Personal Calendar>

Connect these apps>

States "Blocked by Work Policy"

I checked our app protection and device restrictions and could not find a setting that is preventing this.

@Matthew Hippensteel Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, I find a setting "Data sharing between work and personal profiles". Please try to configure it to "No restrictions on sharing". It will sync contacts.

Based on my research, Calendar seems not same with contacts. I find someone has discussed this similar issue.

Hope it will give you some ideas.

I created a device configuration profile, device restrictions, Work profile settings.

    • Copy and paste between work and personal profiles: Block
    • Data sharing between work and personal profiles: No restrictions on sharing
    • Default app permissions: Prompt
    • Add and remove accounts: Allow all accounts types
    • Screen capture: Block

Additionally in our app protection settings for Android. Still cannot pull my google calendar from personal profile to managed Outlook app. Contacts are still separated. I can toggle between my Gmail account and work account within the managed outlook, but Calendars are not integrating. Any other suggestions? Maybe deploy the native calendar as managed and see if it integrates?

    App protection policy config

    • Microsoft Outlook: com.microsoft.office.outlook
    • Microsoft Teams: com.microsoft.teams
    • Google Calendar: com.google.android.calendar
    • Samsung Calendar: com.samsung.android.calendar
    • Contacts: com.android.providers.contacts
    • Samsung Contacts: com.samsung.android.providers.contacts
