We use Epic Systems Corporation's MyChart health portal application. It comes with a widget to embed in our health organization's web site. We use that widget to show local clinic locations. For several years, our Epic system has been configured to use Bing Maps as its geo-vendor. It has been working fine until recently. Now it just shows a blank grey background but still shows the clinic location pins/markers. We are aware of the eventual discontinuation of Bing Maps. We created a new Live ID account to link to our existing Bing Maps account. That didn't work. We created a new API key and that didn't work either.
Any advice as to how to troubleshoot or resolve would be appreciated. Thank you.

As you may already be aware, Bing Maps for Enterprise has been deprecated and will be retired. The availability of services will continue for a certain period, depending on the retirement date specific to your Bing Maps for Enterprise account type.
According to the latest information, customers with Free (Basic) accounts will have access to Bing Maps for Enterprise services until June 30th, 2025. Enterprise account customers will be able to continue using these services until June 30th, 2028. To ensure uninterrupted service, it is essential to update any implementations utilizing Bing Maps for Enterprise REST APIs and SDKs to Azure Maps.

Azure Maps offers many of the same features as Bing Maps for Enterprise, along with additional capabilities. To begin transitioning to Azure Maps, we recommend creating a free Azure subscription and an Azure Maps account. Can you provide more details on which SDK/API of Bing Maps your application is using. If you know the version numbers, that would be helpful as well. As a quick test, take your Bing Maps key and pass append it to the following URL and load it the browsers address bar and see if you get an error message or not. http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations/1%20Microsoft%20Way%20Redmond%20WA%2098052?o=xml&key=

I appended our key to the URL you provided and I get the following. States 'denied credentials', but we are able to log into our Bing Maps account just fine so not sure what credentials it's referring to. -Neil

I may have found the answer (from March 2022). If I hit the 125,000/year limit, does it indicate as such in the Bing Maps account?
...and does the limit reset every calendar year?

I would suggest you to raise a support ticket to increase the limit or for the suspended map account for Bing Maps from your account. Could you please check for elevated roles for Bing Maps?Thank You!

I do believe the free limits reset at the beginning of each calendar year. However, if you don't have a licensed account, your account will likely be disabled in July of this year, and thus the free limit wouldn't reset again on this account.
Based on the comment section is sounds like your account is not licensed and has exceeded the free limits. I recommend contacting maplic@microsoft.com (the licensing team). They can take a deeper look at your account, verify this, and assist you in getting this resolved.
