Scenario Manager
Yield Analytics uses Scenario Manager to run a "what-if" simulation against existing order lines over the specified time period. This is to show you how the modified order line would impact revenue gain and loss for existing order lines.
Uses of Scenario Manager
You can use Scenario Manager to:
- Troubleshoot order line delivery issues by selecting an order line, and analyzing what happens when you make modifications to it.
- Troubleshoot a complete order for delivery problems.
- Analyze what happens if you add new order lines that may compete with existing ones.
- See how creating a new order line from an existing product would forecast and impact other order lines.
Changes you can make with Scenario Manager
Use Scenario Manager to see how changing an order or order line's scheduling (e.g., priority, start/end dates, impressions) would impact its delivery, as well as other products' delivery.
You can't make changes to targeting (e.g., position or geotargeting). Changes made in Scenario Manager are not pushed to the ad server or order management system.
Run multiple items through Scenario Manager
When you run Scenario Manager, it runs every order and order line on the Scenario Manager page. You do not need to stay on the Scenario Manager page for it to finish; the analysis runs in the background. You can work in other Yield Analytics tabs while it's running, and view the results in Scenario Manager when they're ready.
You can run only one scenario at a time. If you have multiple scenarios that you want to run, it could save time to add them all to Scenario Manager and run them together instead of adding them and running them one at a time.
