WM/WMShadowFileSourceFileType (Windows Media Format 11 SDK)
[The feature associated with this page, Windows Media Format 11 SDK, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by Source Reader and Sink Writer. Source Reader and Sink Writer have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use Source Reader and Sink Writer instead of Windows Media Format 11 SDK, when possible. Microsoft suggests that existing code that uses the legacy APIs be rewritten to use the new APIs if possible.]
The WM/WMShadowFileSourceFileType contains the file type of the original file that the ASF file is derived from.
Global Constant

Remarks
Content that exists in a file format other than ASF and is protected with some sort of rights management can be converted to a Windows Media file protected by Windows Media DRM through a process called license importing. Such an ASF file should contain this attribute as well as WM/WMShadowFileSourceDRMType to track where the content came from.
