IRecoverableError::GetProvider method (winsync.h)
Gets the role of the provider that skipped the item change.

);
Parameters
[out] pProviderRole
Returns the role of the provider that skipped the item change.
Return value
The possible return codes include, but are not limited to, the values shown in the following table.
