Creates a new Direct2D device from the given IDXGIDevice.

Syntax

HRESULT CreateDevice(
  [in]  IDXGIDevice  *dxgiDevice,
  [out] ID2D1Device6 **d2dDevice6
);

Parameters

[in] dxgiDevice

Type: IDXGIDevice*

The IDXGIDevice from which to create the Direct2D device.

[out] d2dDevice6

Type: ID2D1Device6**

The created device.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

This method returns an HRESULT success or error code.
