The second characteristic includes warehouse, aisle, rack, shelf, and bin position. The third characteristic is location type, which includes bulk location, picking location, inbound dock, outbound dock, production input location, inspection location, or kanban supermarket.

Sort codes

Sort codes can streamline the management of picking lines, which detail the necessary information for selecting items from inventory, such as the sequence for picking. You can determine sort codes based on the aisle and other positional data, or you can manually assign them to each location. To do so, go to Inventory management > Periodic tasks > Locations > Sort codes to filter specific inventory aisles.

Tree structure

By going to Inventory management > Setup > Inventory breakdown > Inventory locations, you can view the warehouse layout as a tree structure based on the coordinates of inventory locations by expanding the Tree structure FastTab.
