In manufacturing, an asset can be a building, factory, or any type of machinery or equipment. This topic focuses on assets such as a machine or machine parts that require maintenance, service, or repair.

You can create assets from the All assets, Active assets, or My active assets pages in Asset Management for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management. The following list reviews what each of these pages represents.

• All assets - Shows a list of all the assets.
• Active assets - Shows only the active assets.
• My active assets - Shows only assets that are installed on the functional locations that you're related to as a maintenance worker.
