Microsoft Teams Assignments offers several assignment types for educators to choose from. Because of integration with Microsoft 365 and Learning Accelerators, educators have a range of assessment and instruction options.

An educator using an LMS can add the value of Teams Assignments to their course by creating a new Teams Assignment. They can also take advantage of the AI-powered assignment creation tools and Insights from Teams and automatically send grades to the LMS.

Create and link a new Teams assignment in an LMS

Note

Some steps might vary depending on the LMS.

In the LMS:

1. Select the option to add new content (assignment) for a course.
2. Select Teams Assignment.
3. Select Create.
4. A new tab opens in the browser.
5. Complete the steps to set up the assignment.
6. Select Assign.
7. Go back to the LMS course and select Refresh.
8. Select Link.
