Exercise - Create a maintenance plan

Munson’s Pickles and Preserves Farms purchased trucks. Your task is to set up a maintenance plan for an oil service every 5,000 miles.

  1. Go to Asset management > Setup > Preventive maintenance > Maintenance plans.
  2. Select New in the Action Pane to create a new sequence.
  3. Enter Truck in the Maintenance plan field.
  4. Enter Delivery Truck in the Name field.
  5. In the Plan date field, select the beginning date of the next month.
  6. Select Yes on the Active toggle button to activate the maintenance plan.
  7. Enter 5 in the Tolerance days before and Tolerance days after fields.
  8. In the Lines FastTab, select Add asset counter line.
  9. In the Work order description field, enter Oil and Lubrication.
  10. In the Maintenance job type field, select Lubrication.
  11. In the Trade field, select Mechanic.
  12. In the Finish within days field, enter 2.
  13. In the Finish within hours field, enter 4.
  14. In the Period frequency field, enter 5000.
  15. For Counter, enter Miles.
  16. For the Asset counter time fence in days, enter 10.
  17. For the Service level, select 4.
  18. On the Assets FastTab, select Add line.
  19. Select VE-106 in the Asset drop-down list.
  20. For Start date, select the first day of the next month.
  21. Select Save in the Action Pane and then close the page.
