Prepare for the workshop
Typically, the Post go-live workshop takes approximately 1-2 hours to conduct. The time might vary based on the complexity of the project, the scope of the go-live event, and the challenges that are found throughout the implementation.
Before the Post go-live workshop, participants should be familiar with the structure of the workshop and the types of topics and prerequisites that will be covered.
The central prerequisite for preparation is the Post go-live workshop template that captures information about the presented sections (such as the project goals, lessons learned, and so on). The implementation team needs to complete and share the template with the solution architect at least two working days before the workshop. Essentially, the Post go-live workshop is a discussion. It's not intended to be a questionnaire that you can complete and review in an offline mode.
Additionally, having the following project artifacts ready would enrich the exchanges during the workshop:
Project charter - Document that provides the background of the project, especially the objectives, and expected key results.
Rollout plan/schedule with the next phases - Document or Gantt charts showing the next phases in the digital transformation journey.
Support process/escalation path - Support levels and support owners for new live incidents.
Support responsibility assignment matrix - Table of support, servicing, and maintenance tasks, and roles related to these tasks. These relationships are typically assigned through a responsible, accountable, consulted, informed (RACI) classification.
This list isn't exhaustive of project deliverables. But it's beneficial to share these deliverables or have them ready to show during the Post go-live workshop.
