This module explains how to manage personnel in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and operations apps. In this module, you'll learn how to create and control application components such as departments and jobs. Additionally, you'll learn how to manage changes within your organization.

Common things that happen in most businesses such as transitions, the offboarding and onboarding processes, and performance reviews can all be done using Dynamics 365 Human Resources. You can also track things such as skills development, and safety and compliance.

Throughout this module, you will learn how to use organizational elements in the application to organize your workforce. Before we begin, let’s review an example of the elements. The graphic below shows two departments that might be within an organization: Sales, and Human Resources. Within each of these departments, you can have several positions which are individual instances of a job. Each position includes a collection of tasks and responsibilities (job) that are required for a person who is assigned to a position.
