Overview of Teams clients
Microsoft Teams devices or clients can be split into two groups:
End user devices: mobile, desktop, and browser clients
Other teams devices: Microsoft Teams Rooms, Teams android phones, and more
To use any of these clients, the latest released client version needs to be installed and a licensed user needs to be signed in.
Microsoft Teams on desktop clients
The classic Teams desktop client is available as a standalone application and as part of Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise for the following operating systems:
32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows (8.1 or later, excluding Windows 10 LTSC)
Arm64 for Windows 10 on an ARM processor
Windows Server (2012 R2 or later)
macOS
Linux (in .deb and .rpm formats)

The new Teams desktop client ensures more efficient use of device resources. You can lower memory and disk usage with a Teams app optimized for your device. Whether you have users on multiple accounts or tenants, the new Teams can help eliminate the silos and bring them together in one place, giving them more extensibility and scale. Microsoft Teams on mobile phones
Microsoft Teams on mobile devices brings a significant advantage of being reachable when you aren't near your desktop client. As already known on the desktop client, you can make peer-to-peer calls, chat with people, attend scheduled meetings and many more.
Android: Support is limited to the last four major versions of Android. When a new major version of Android is released, the new version and the previous three versions are officially supported.
iOS: Support is limited to the two most recent major versions of iOS. When a new major version of iOS is released, the new version of iOS and the previous version are officially supported.
Microsoft Teams browser clients
To use Teams in your browser, navigate to Teams admin center and sign in. Due to usage of webRTC technology, it isn't necessary to download and install any plug-ins in your browser to run the Teams web client. Nevertheless, the browser must be enabled to allow third-party cookies.
