Imagine a world where all learners can see the steps to solve an equation anytime they need. Well, no need to imagine any more thanks to the OneNote Math Assistant! The math button empowers learners with independence by telling them right away if an equation is correct. It also shows the steps needed to solve an equation. In this module, educators will learn how to help learners become independent thinkers using the math button in OneNote.

Learning objectives

  • Describe how to use the math button in OneNote to solve and graph equations
  • Explain how Math Assistant supports personalized learning
  • Discover new systems that help learners take ownership of their learning

Professional journal

How do your classes learn best? Do you use the same methods when learning something new? You’re here because something inspired you to learn more about using OneNote for math. To retain this new knowledge and make changes in your teaching practice, you’ll need a place take notes, reflect, copy links, and keep track of ideas.

Before beginning this module, go to Word Online or create a OneNote for your own learning. If you’ve already done this, just add a page or section for this module. Using this journal, you’ll develop a lesson to post on the Microsoft Educator Community at the end of this module!
