Reflect
Naming their emotions can help students communicate their needs clearly and get support when they need it. With Reflect, students use emojis and illustrated representations of emotion words to share their personal experience with teachers. Teachers can also use Reflect to get a sense of a student’s knowledge, confidence, and motivation about certain topics.
The basic process of Reflect is simple:
- Educators easily set up regular check-ins for students, staff, and families to understand how they feel about any topic, in any language.
- Students then use the Feelings Monster to select from 60 different emotions in an engaging and playful way, assisting learners in authentically identifying and naming their emotions. If enabled, students can also select reasons for their feelings.
- Educators then gain valuable insights into where students are excelling and identify areas that require attention.
Through this process, we build a culture of wellbeing, fostering a happier, healthier, and more balanced school with evidence-based resources and strategies.
In this video, we cover an overview of how Reflect works in Microsoft Teams, including:

- Reflect integration with Staff Teams
This video shows how Reflect can be used in Teams for Education, but it can also be used as a web app, in OneNote Class Notebook, inside Minecraft, and even as a physical emotional board for students in a non-digital environment.
