Financial insights scenario
Consider the following scenario where Finance insights can be used.
USMF is a legal entity that represents and manages the sales and finances for an organization named Contoso Entertainment. This scenario features the Accounts receivable person at USMF who manages many daily processes around credit and collections.
The Accounts receivable person is responsible for tracking customer payments and ensuring that they're received on time and processed accurately. Recently, they've been falling behind and having trouble tracking which customers are paying, which customers are expected to pay on time, and which of them aren't. Plus, the Accounts receivable person oversees the process of preparing detailed budgets for the organization's board of directors so that the most accurate cash flow forecasts and expenses can be analyzed.
Currently, they do many of these tasks by using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and entering data manually. This method of tracking or preparing documents that are used to make business decisions within the organization hasn't been updated due to a lack of time.
