Introduction
The overall goal of the Success by Design framework is to ensure a successful customer outcome for each implementation. As part of Success by Design, the Dual-write implementation workshop helps accomplish this overall goal by focusing on the following objectives:
Drive understanding on how dual-write will be used in the customer scenario. The Dual-write implementation workshop is designed to drive a conversation about how different apps will integrate through dual-write.
Identification of risks and issues. By taking a broad but high-level look at the solution, it is possible to identify issues and risks with the solution design or implementation approach that will negatively impact the outcome.
Identification or discussion about gaps. Identify areas where dual-write might not be a good fit for a project, and then discuss identified gaps and alignment with the dual-write roadmap.
Timing of the workshop
The Dual-write implementation workshop should always be preceded by the solution blueprint. Before you consider dual-write related topics, it's imperative that you understand the solution as a whole, which will help you understand how dual-write will play a part in the solution.
The goal of the Dual-write implementation workshop isn't to provide an overview on how dual-write works. For that purpose, the FastTrack team has created several Tech Talks that discuss and exemplify the usage of dual-write. These resources can be used in addition to the available documentation.
The Dual-write implementation workshop should be conducted when the design is near or already completed and when you have a solid understanding on how dual-write will be used to integrate data between different apps.
