Dynamics 365 with other Microsoft technologies

Completed

You can deploy Dynamics 365 apps with one another, with other Microsoft apps and services, and with many partners software and apps.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365, previously known as Office 365, includes common apps, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access. It also includes cloud offerings for Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Businesses might also want to include Intune and Azure Information Protection cloud services. Some Dynamics 365 apps have built-in integration with Microsoft 365 capabilities.

Azure

Azure is Microsoft’s cloud, and it has more than 200 products available. Several categories are available, including analytics, AI and machine learning, cloud service, compute, Azure DevOps, containers, monitoring, networking, storage, security, and many more. Having all these capabilities and services in one portal benefits customers because Azure can solve most, if not all, their cloud computing needs. A detailed discussion of all that Azure has to offer is beyond the scope of this course. However, the following list describes some key customer scenarios that will help you better understand the role that Dynamics 365 can play in a Microsoft solution.

  • NBA builds a solid foundation for innovation and business success with SAP on Azure - The NBA is known for bringing leading-edge technology to the sport of basketball. To expand the possibilities for innovative fan experiences and streamline day-to-day operations, the league chose to migrate its SAP solutions, and other IT resources to Microsoft Azure, and to use the RISE with SAP offering to facilitate its ongoing cloud evolution. The NBA has gained flexibility, scalability, and access to a wide range of data and AI services in Azure that will help the league deliver best-in-class fan engagement through data consolidation and reduced IT management overhead.

  • Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust adopts the Responsible AI philosophy with Azure Machine Learning - To help patients better understand surgical risks, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust surgeons Professor Mike Reed and Dr. Justin Green are leading a clinical team that is applying data science and machine learning to historical data on surgical outcomes, to produce individualized patient risk profiles. The team works to produce results that are meaningful, fair, and easily explainable using Azure Machine Learning and the Responsible AI dashboard. Their work is helping patients make informed surgical decisions, and it’s helping the Trust place surgical candidates at appropriate facilities based on their risk factors.

  • GE Digital helps make the skies safer with Microsoft development tools - As an industry leader in airline systems, GE Digital knows that safety and efficiency are paramount to its airline partners. That’s why GE developed FlightPulse®, an app that puts data and analytics in the hands of more than 3,000 Qantas pilots to help them improve safety and efficiency on every flight. A solution this complex would typically take years to develop, but using Microsoft developer tools, GitHub, and Microsoft Azure, GE was able to build and deploy FlightPulse in a matter of months.
