Microsoft Dynamics 365 products are integrated with other products in multiple ways.
Products such as Dynamics 365 for Outlook, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint have out-of-the-box connectors that are built into Dynamics 365 applications. These products are so commonly used together that many consultants consider them to be an out-of-the-box part of any Dynamics 365 implementation.
Product connectors, such as dual-write and Dynamics 365 Business Central, connect the Dynamics 365 tools that are built on Microsoft Dataverse with Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, and Business Central.
Consultants can also consider using tools such as Power Automate, Microsoft Azure Logic Apps, and custom connectors. Tools such as Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps offer several ways to connect to Microsoft and verified services, inside and outside of the Microsoft ecosystem. Custom connectors add to this ability by offering a way to create extra custom API connectors.
Microsoft AppSource is an online marketplace where anyone can browse, try, buy, and deploy thousands of business apps and services with Microsoft products. Due to the prevalence of Microsoft Business Applications, many software companies have found it advantageous to build their own custom solutions with Microsoft Dynamics 365 products. Some solutions, such as Adobe Acrobat Sign for Microsoft Dynamics 365 or LinkedIn Sales Navigator for Dynamics 365, are custom connector type solutions, which create a way for data to flow between the two resources. Other solutions, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Channel Integration Framework, are built on top of the Dynamics 365 products and work to expand capabilities.
