Summary
In this module, we explored the 21CLD knowledge construction dimension and discussed:
- Why knowledge construction is important
- The key features of knowledge construction
- The methods for deepening learners’ knowledge construction skills
We also examined the knowledge construction rubric and decision tree and defined the key terms associated with the rubric. To gain familiarity with the rubric, we used the rubric or decision tree to code anchor lessons and covered Microsoft tools that support learners in their knowledge construction. Finally, we used the rubric to redesign learning activities to improve knowledge construction skills among learners.
