Create a Speaker Progress assignment in Teams
To assign a Speaker Progress practice session to learners, educators must create an assignment within a class team.1
Note
The first time educators create a Speaker Progress assignment, they receive a short overview of what Speaker Progress is and how they can use it.
To create and customize a Speaker Progress assignment:
- Select Speaker Progress from the Learning Accelerators menu.
- Change the presentation title.
- Select a language: English or Spanish.
- Set the number of attempts learners can rehearse before submitting the assignment.
- Set a time limit for each attempt (maximum is 10 minutes.)
- Determine if learners are required to use video. (Speaker Coach body language feedback is only available if a learner turns on their camera.)
- Decide whether to give the learners an AI-generated rehearsal report at the end of each attempt.
Educators must also select the Speaker Coach settings they want their learners to receive feedback on during and after their rehearsal. Educators can select all or choose from:
- Pace
- Pronunciation
- Body language
- Filler words
- Inclusiveness
- Pitch
- Repetitive language
Educators must select at least one Speaker Coach feedback option before the Next button becomes available.
Finish configuring the assignment and select Next to attach the Speaker Progress activity to the assignment. Select Assign to distribute the assignment to learners.
