Exercise - Create an online store
You are working in the new e-Commerce department of Adventure Works, and you are responsible for creating an online presence for the established retailer.
Create an online channel in Commerce Headquarters.
- In the USRT company, go to Retail and Commerce > Channels > Online stores and select New to start creating a new online store.
- In the Name field, enter Adventure Works.
- In the Legal entity field, select USRT.
- In the Warehouse field, select DC-CENTRAL.
- In the Store time zone field, select your own time zone.
- In the Default customer field, select 100002.
- In the Customer address book field, select USRTCentrl.
- In the Email notification profile field, select ENProfile.
- Select Save.
- Expand the Payment accounts tab on the newly created online store.
- Select Add to add a payment connector.
- In the Gateway Environment field, enter Test.
- Enter the information from your Adyen test account in the Merchant account ID and Cloud API Key fields.
- Set the Terminal Architecture field to Cloud.
- Set Allow saving payment information in the e-Commerce field to True.
- Select Save.
- Select Set up in the Action Pane, and then select Fulfillment group assignment.
- Select New on the newly opened screen.
- Set All stores in the Fulfillment group field.
- Select Save.
- Select Payment methods from the Action Pane.
- Select New to add a new payment method to the online store.
- Select 3 in the Payment method field.
- Enter CreditCard in the Terms of payment field on the General tab.
- Enter Pay card in the Operation name field.
- Enter 112120 in the Account number field on the Posting tab.
- Enter 618150 in the Difference account field.
- Enter 618140 in the Big difference account field.
- Select Card setup at the top of the screen.
- Select New to add a new card type.
- Enter VISA in the Card type name field.
- Enter VISA in the Card ID field.
- Select Save.
- Go to Retail and Commerce > Channel setup > Organization hierarchies.
- Select the Retail Store by Business Unit hierarchy and select View at the top of the page.
- Select Edit, and then select the Fashion hierarchy by selecting the ellipsis (…).
- Select Insert and then select Retail channel.
- Select Save and then enter the yesterday's date.
- Go to Retail and Commerce > Channel setup > Modes of delivery.
- Search for and select mode of delivery 60-Customer pickup.
- Go to the Retail channels tab and select Add line.
- In the Choose organization nodes page, select the Adventure Works online store that you created in steps 1-9, and then add it to the Selected organization nodes list.
- Select OK.
- Go to Retail and Commerce > Retail and Commerce IT > Process delivery modes.
- Select OK on the Process delivery modes page that opens.
- Go to Retail and Commerce > Headquarters setup > Commerce scheduler > Channel database.
- Select the Scale unit channel database (not the Default) and then select Edit.
- Select Add on the Retail channel tab to add the online store to the channel database.
- Select the Adventure Works online store to add to the channel database.

- Select Full data sync at the top of the page.
- In the Select a distribution schedule drop-down list that opens, select 9999.
- Select OK.
