Exercise – Enable external connection for inline results

In this exercise you learn how to enable an external connection for inline results, which is required for Microsoft 365 Copilot to use the external content in its answers.

Before you start

Before you do this exercise, be sure to complete the previous exercise in this module.

Enable external connection for inline results

In the web browser:

  1. Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center at https://admin.microsoft.com.
  2. From the side navigation, select Settings and then Search & intelligence.
  3. On the Search & intelligence page, switch to the Customizations tab.
  4. From the side navigation, select Verticals.
  5. In the list of verticals, select the checkbox next to All.
  6. From the toolbar, select Manage connector results.
  7. Verify, that the Include connector results toggle is set to On.
  8. Verify, that the Show results inline option is selected.
  9. In the list of connector results, locate Microsoft Graph documentation, and select the checkbox next to it.
  10. Confirm your changes by selecting the Save button.
