Introduction
Capacity planning is the process of determining what criteria are needed to meet production objectives. This process involves an understanding of capacity loads and item forecasts.
Capacity loads show you the demand that is placed on a system during a specific period of time. This demand can be based on all assets, selected assets, maintenance downtime activities, or work order pools.
Item forecasts show you the expected item consumption over a specific period of time. For example, you want to see all spare parts and other items that are required for completing work orders during the month of January. You can run a report to calculate this information for all assets or selected assets.
In this module, you will learn how to:
- Calculate capacity load.
- Calculate item forecast.
