The 2024-08-04 service version includes the following features:

  • Create Share and Set Share Properties now support the x-ms-enable-snapshot-virtual-directory-access request header. This property is now returned as a response header by Get Share Properties and as the XML element EnableSnapshotVirtualDirectoryAccess returned by List Shares.
  • Authentication-related error response bodies will now contain the ExtendedErrorDetail xml element, providing more context on the auth failure. For more information, see Status and Error Codes
