DataContractJsonSerializer.ReadObject Method

Reads a document stream in the JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) format and returns the deserialized object.

Remarks

The DataContractJsonSerializer only supports the UTF-8, UTF-16LE and UTF-16BE encodings.
